THE TOURNAMENT
The 2016 edition of the Media Cup gathered 34 teams from TV channels and Production companies. Amongst them, TF1, M6, FRANCE 2, Canal+, BBC WORLDWIDE, STUDIO 89, or SHINE FRANCE… Each team had a guest and 2 girls to spice up the competition and maintain a festive and sporty spirit. The handsome 2016 Batchelor Gian Marco was the guest of TF1’s team, the singer Grégoire was with Pyla Prod’s team, Arthur brought his humour to the Tout sur l’Ecran team or Sidney Govou ex player in the French Team in France 2’s team!
Batucada everywhere!
The Batucada gave the tempo to motivate the teams from early in the morning! The Batala Paris was present all day for the Media Cup, pleasing everybody. The highlights of the tournament and the festival were at the rhythm of this band, offering guests a convivial and festive atmosphere. The Batala Paris welcomed the teams at the lockeroom doors and supported them during matches, public announcements of the day, and gave its loudest “sourdo” beat to celebrate the Cup’s presentation.
Animations
The Media Cup is also a moment for sharing and enjoying a beautiful day, with people you love. Various atmospheres were created to satisfy all present. Alexandra Montpert and her Massage relaxation area, By Who Tattoo and its temporary tattoos, Gribouilletout and its caricatures, Crossfit Gavroche for the sport fans, the Kids Corner forbidden to adults!
The UPPM area with its table football, candy floss, fruit juice or smoothies…
And of course, La Paillote moved for the occasion, bringing conviviality and good humour to the rhythms of the key figures of Régis and Nico: bar space, deck chairs, dance floor and ping pong for a relaxed and fun atmosphere!
The presentation of the Media’s Cup
The Media’s cup team B are the winners of the Champion’s League. Djibril Cissé, the godfather of the event, will present the cup to the winning team. Kaptain Music are the winners of the Media league. Santi, having prepared the public, didn’t even have time to remove his make up before carrying the Cup gleefully with his team! After sport, comfort, let the festival begin…
The Festival
The sun was present on that Saturday July 2nd! Comfortably seated on their deck chairs at the Paillote, the Foodtruck Corner or at the universal Barbapapa, our festival-goers were getting ready to enjoy a promising event…
The live concerts !
For this 2016 edition, the Media Cup chose a very eclectic programme. Starting with the Londoner Kevin Davy White and his velvety voice, then the emerging soul-funky Quinze, not forgetting the madness of The Jokers with Sandrine Quétier on the microphone! We continue with the live beatbox of Berywam and finish with our international artist Keziah jones, because “Rhythm is love”!
The foodtrucks
Football, sun and animations…. makes you hungry! Thanks to the presence of Foodtrucks at the Media Cup, the participants were able to discover all sorts of burgers with “Le Canard Huppé” as well as delicious Italian delicacies with the “Atelier Fratelli’s” focaccias.
DJIBRIL CISSE AS DJ
For this edition, Djibril Cissé honoured us with his presence as godfather of the Media’s Cup. International goalie with a heart of gold, Djibril symbolises the Media’s Cup values: authenticity, sportsmanship, creativity, Djibril personifies the team spirit we hope to encourage. Guest of the Atlantis Television team in the morning, and DJ in the evening, Djibril didn’t do things by half, for everyone’s pleasure!
